Katherine and Charles chose the Denver Botanic Gardens as the backdrop for their engagement session. It was my first time there, and it was stunning!
There are so many different pockets that provide different looks. One of my favorites was the European-inspired secret garden.
I always pick a few photos to duplicate in black & white - the stairs entering the garden was the perfect moment for black & white.
And LOOK AT THIS WALL! Total fairytale vibes.
My other favorite spot at the botanic gardens was an open field. The field featured tall grass, a willow tree, and wildflowers. A magical combo! Plus, the sunset light was soo beautiful here.
My third favorite spot was purple flowers. If you know me, you know that my favorite color is purple. My phone case is purple, my suitcase is purple, and a third of my wardrobe is purple. In fact, my childhood bedroom is still painted a soft purple :)
I just can't wait to get these two married next summer! For now, here's a few more of my favorite images from their engagement session!
If you want to have your engagement session at the Denver Botanic Gardens, here's a few tips:
You will need to pre-purchase a photography permit for $100.
There are frequent closures for events; make sure to check the schedule before choosing a session date.
The gardens has two locations - the downtown botanic gardens and a farm. Both are beautiful!
Parking is free across the street from the downtown location.
Come early or stay after your session to walk around an enjoy the gardens. There's a fun restaurant that serves pizza and smoothies that looked so yummy!
